Aron Levander is a Swedish screenwriter creating Scandinavian and international productions for broadcasting, streaming services, and cinema. His work has been awarded in the Swedish Television Awards Kristallen, Cannes Lions, Guldägget, and the New York Festivals, and featured at the Gothenburg International Film Festival, and International du Court Métrage at Clermont-Ferrand. Aron is currently developing several feature film and TV-projects, working continuously with Swedish and International production companies, such as Apple Tree, Yellowbird, Miso Film, New Pictures, and BRF.
Aron created and wrote the successful TV-series The Truth Will Out (2018) starring celebrated actor and comedian Robert Gustafsson (The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out of the Window and Disappeared), based on an idea by acclaimed crime author and professor in criminology Leif G.W. Persson. The Truth Will Out received outstanding reviews both in Sweden and in the UK. The anticipated second season premiered on Viaplay in September 2021 to rave reviews. Both seasons were awarded in Swedish Television Awards Kristallen.
Levander wrote the second season of award-winning TV-series Jordskott (2017), which has sold to over a hundred countries to date, together with creator/director Henrik Björn. Aron’s TV-series Dream, an exciting sci-fi family series from Palladium Fiction, premiered in 2019 on SVT Play. He was part of the writers room and wrote one episode for the second season of TV-series Snabba Cash, premiering world-wide on Netflix in September 2022. Levander’s most recent project, Detektiven från Beledweyne (Detective no 24), for which he is creator, executive producer, and sole writer, will premiere on SVT in 2023.
Today, Aron works mainly as a head writer, leading writers’ rooms at his company office Mord, lögner, svek at Hälsingegatan 7, in Stockholm. Parallel with his own original and commissioned work Aron is also available for writing episodes, and conducting rescue missions of troubled TV-series in the making.
Aron began his writing career as a copywriter at the creative lab of the multi-disciplinary Acne collective where he worked with a wide selection of clients, including Acne Studios, Volvo Cars, and the Eurovision Song Contest as well as the 2006 election campaign for the Swedish Social Democratic Party. Through Acne collective's Acne Film, Aron was first introduced to the art of screenwriting. In 2009 Aron left Lowe Brindfors to focus on his career as an independent screenwriter.
Aron has earned degrees in Marketing from iiU & Pace University in New York, Advertising from Berghs Schools of Communication in Stockholm, and Screenwriting for Film & TV from Alma Manusutbildning in Sunne, Sweden.
